It mana ged to be 3 cents less then this years inflation. On the plus side union dues are nearly $1 cheaper since then.

I once worked for a company that did my evaluation mid-December. My review was [facetious tone] glowingly-positive, and they said I was due for a 25 cent raise — which I did get, starting January first... It was still 23 cents less than the minimum wage increase.

Could be worse. It could have been post-dated and then had you fired before you saw a dime of it. N ot that I’m bitter.

Its impossible to be fired if you cloc k in on time and breath so it’s what many employees do. (Especially the veterans who make top of scale or better) A pparently people dont go crazy from boredom of a halfassed effort

But what about lay offs? At a certain point half-assing things becomes its own pass time. Determining how to absolutely minimize your level of effort for a particular task is not simple.

The union makes firing anybody a tricky proposition. I’m starting to pick up what your putting down, stretching a 4-5 hour task into 8 hours while,"working" the entire time does take careful planning.
